The Caladium Festival transforms downtown Lake Placid each July with the festival this year being held this weekend, Friday through Sunday.
Themajority of the crowd will be in downtown’s Stuart Park with arts and crafts, plant sales, food vendors, plus tours and entertainment, all within walking distance of local homes and lakes. Planning a visit around this timing lets you experience both the relaxed pace of the community and the buzz of its biggest event. Plan on arriving early to get a close parking spot. The following hours for the festival are planned for this year.
Friday, July 24: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Saturday, July 25: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday, July 26: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Plan on seeing local craftsman selling wares, taking a caladium field tour to see fields of these colorful plants and purchase some to take home. Have fun and stay hydrated!
